Supernova
48" x 38" mixed media on canvas, 2006, unframed.
Supernova is the largest canvas I've tackled to date. It is a combination of oils and acrylic paint used every way one is not ever supposed use them together. The surface is extremely textured, to the point of being covered with sharp points of paint that rise 10mm or more off the canvas face. This painting is weaponized.
